ARCHAN CHUM CHAIKIRI - AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY

ARCHAN CHUM CHAIKIRI - AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Archan Chum Chaikiri was born in BE2450 (1907) into a family of soldiers. He's the grandson of Khun Chaikiri ("Khun" means Nobility. Khun Chaikiri was a disciple of Wat Khao Orr where he assisted Phraya Chuattukaraj (then Governor of  Pattalung Province). Their duties were National Security to safeguard and protect  Pattalung Province and certain parts of Southern Thailand from the invasion of the Burmese army, approximately 250 years ago.

Khun Chaikiri has many sons and daughters. He studied Wicha (White Magic) from Wat Khao Orr and later taught this sacred knowledge to his children. One of Khun Chaikiri's children with the name of "Muean Sri Panpirun" learned the sacred white magic from him and then further his studies in this sacred science from Wat Khao Orr. He too has many children and one of them is the father of Archan Chum. His father was a soldier and governor in Khao Chai Son distruct of Pattalung City.

Archan Chum's father was a friend of  Luang Phor Kong, Wat Chaimongkol in Songkhla. Luang Phor Kong came to see the baby when he was borned and many friends congratulated Archan Chum's father, since they knew he was not a normal baby, for there were divine signs. Luang Phor Kong gave the name "Chum" to the new born baby which means "Popular".

From a very young age, Archan Chum had an immense interests in magic and occultism and studied this sacred knowledge from his father. When Archan Chum was about 5 years old, he was able to cast a spell to hypnotize a cobra (snake) and to stopped the snake from opening it's mouth. He was also able to cast spells to locked the jaws of the dogs to prevent it from biting.

Whenever the opportunities arises, he would performed the magics of what he had learned. He was able to cast a kartha (mantra) consisting of 11 words towards a gun and the gun will break into pieces upon shooting. This took place when his father's friend came to their house and left his gun on to the table.

After learning from his father, Archan Chum then went and learned under Archan Tong Tao to further his studies in magic (wicha) and occultism (saiyasart). At that time  Archan Tong Tao was already very old, hence, not able to teach him such, he then recommended Archan Chum Chaikiri  to Archan Yied who was a direct disciple of Archan Tong Tao. Archan Yied was not impressed with Archan Chum as he was always playful and more interested in girls.

Archan Chum then seek the assistance of his friend Khun Pan Tharak Rachadej who was a direct disciple of Archan Yied to be his "Guarantor" for Archan Chum's behaviour. Thereafter, he became more discipline and devoted his time and seriousness under the tutelage of Archan Yied.

When Archan Chum Chaikiri was  20 years old (2470), he ordained as a monk and his Preceptor was Luang Phor Kong, Wat Chaimongkol, Songkhla where he studied Pali, Dhamma as well as Magic (Wicha) in Wat Khao Orr.

When Archan Chum was a monk, he became good friend with Archan Kong of Wat Ban Suan who was also a disciple of Archan Yied.

Initially, Archan Chum intended to ordaained as a monk for one year, however, he ended being a monk for 15 years. He was very popular, when he goes on the early morning alms (Pindapat), many will offer him food, drinks..on his alms bowl.

In the year BE2484, under the advice of Archan Kong, Archan Chum created his first batch of amulets with the support of Archan Yied who provided him with the Special Holy Powder           (Pong Mahawan) to be mixed with other Sacred Ingredients. Archan Yied, Archan Kong, Khao Orr's Masters & Monks & other Famous Southern Thailand Monks joined him in the Puttaphisek (Blessing) Ceremony. Many devotees found out that wearing Archan Chum's Phra Buddha Nimit is equivalent to wearing Archan Yied's Phra Kleep Bua Mahawan. Archan Chum learned the techniques of making ancient amulets such as Tarul & Nangta and infused them into Phra Buddha Nimit.

When Archan Chum reached the age of 35 years old, he disrobed and left the monkhood in the year BE2485 and later got married. Even after he left the monkhood, his interests in Magic & Occultism did not end. Whenever, he heard of any famous Masters,or Archans or Monks, he will quickly packed his bags and will go forth to meet them.

Once. Archan Chum went to the mountains, to meditate and to further his learnings in magic, he met an old hermit, he then followed hims for 3 years, to learn magic and occultism . After 3 years of learning, the old hermit only taught him only 2 Karthas consisting of 4 words "NA UT AH MI" and "BA SU WU CHA". These 2 Karthas made Archan Chum realized that a person's belief is above all.

When Archan Chum was in his fifities, he was seriously ill and was closed to death. Archan Kong then decided to pass on some of his lifespan  to Archan Chum with his Sacred meditation and Wicha, thereafter, he instructed Archan Chum to continue helping  people and the temples. However, Archan Kong forbid Archan Chum from making amulets for commercial gains (profits) and Archan Chum kept this promise till his death.

Archan Kong passed away in BE2516 and Archan Chum ordained as a monk for one year in gratitude for Archan Kong, In that same year, Archan Chum created a batch of amulets (rians) of himself dressed in monk's robe.

In Bangkok, Archan Chum started a Wicha School of Magic (Samnak Kunjae Saiyasart) where he taught his students the magic (more so to Maha Ura - Invincibility & Kong Kra Pan - Invulnerability). During the peak, he had more than 100,000 students. Archan Chum had a Log  Book that Recorded the details of his students. Those that were recorded were his authentic students. Those that misbehaved and misused the magic were terminated from the school.

All amulets consecrated by Archan Chum were between BE2484 to BE2524. From BE2484 to BE2516, he consecrated only amulets to fulfilled Archan Kong's request for the Temple's Fund Raising. After BE2516 onwards, he created amulets at the requests of other monks and masters

Archan Chum became ill and passed away on 9th August, 2525 (1982) at the age of 75 years old due to kidney failure.

During his funeral procession, many monks, masters, disciples, devotees pulled the 30 meters ropes of the Coffin van to send him off. The number of people who came to the procession was as much as the crowd of Archan Khun Pan's funeral.

Surprisingly, Archan Chum's body did not decomposed and today the morgue remained in a glass coffin in his samnak. He wore the famous Yod Khun Pom (which again I'm Blessed to have One, attached is the picture below). Later his body was cremated jointly with his beloved wife's body after she passed away. Archan Chum lived his life as a lay Archan who adhere to the Dhamma and kept his precepts. He never used his Wicha (Magic) to intentionally harmed others nor does he used it to accumulate wealth and also to attract ladies, even as easy as snapping his fingers with his Wicha.

Archan Chum only had one son (Archan Narongrit) who happens to be my Teacher, a god son and 3 daughters. Both his sons, Archan Narongrit and his godson learned the Wicha(Magic) and Occultism from Archan Chum Chaikiri. His Wife Khun Mae "Ser" who was also my Teacher learned from her husband and specialized in the Wicha of  Metta (Loving Kindness) and Chok Lap (Good Fortune).

Archan Narongrit died in his fifties from head injuries; whilst descending the staricase, he slipped
and felled and his his head and died instantly. The godson of AC Chum also passed away not long after. One of his daugthers was married and the other two are spinsters. None of the daughters learned any Wicha (Magic).

Majority of Archan Chum's earlier disciples were Thais and also some disciples from Malaysia and Singapore. Those disciples traveled to meet and learned from Archan Chum and Archan Narongrit. Most of these disciples have passed away, leaving a few left..
